Phase One of the Rehabilitation has continued this week with window sill repair

First, let’s look at the front page of today’s Kennebec Journal!

Thank you to Joe Phelan and the Kennebec Journal for the great photos and for sharing our progress on the renovation of Johnson Hall.

Jacobs Glass has been working on the windows, focusing on the window sill repair. New sills are being made from mahogany, to replace the original fir ones. For the windows that need replacement vs. repair, we expect the new windows to arrive in four to five weeks.

3rd floor window in need of repair

Rotten wood at the bottom of the windows are also being repaired.

We hope you are as excited as we are to see the progress. Just imagine what the 3rd floor Opera House Theater will be like with 400 seats and live shows all year! We know, amazing.
