A benefit show for the Johnson Hall Capital Campaign featuring the Maine Dead Project.

The Maine Dead Project will perform on the Gardiner Waterfront (to the left of the pump house) as a benefit for the Johnson Hall capital campaign. All funds raised will be matched by the Creativity Fund.

Show time is 6:00P.M. and doors open at 5:30 P.M.

Please note, there will be no seating at this venue.

Formed by bandleader Tim Sullivan in 2015, The Maine Dead Project features a wide-ranging repertoire of Grateful Dead Classics through high-energy musical performance and unique interpretation. Each member brings their own musical background to the band, and as a collective MDP puts their own improvisation-based stamp on the timeless music of the “Dead”. Members of MDP have shared stage with Cyril Neville (Neville Brothers), Warren Haynes, John Popper (Blues Traveler), Chris Barron (Spin Doctors), Tom Constantin (Grateful Dead), Mean Willie Green (Neville Brothers), Jeff Watkins (James Brown Band), The New Orleans Suspects, members of Strangefolk, members of the Trey Anastasio Band, and more. MDP is noted for covering entire historic Grateful Dead shows, start to finish.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ- In the event of inclement weather only, this concert will be moved to the third floor theater at Johnson Hall (please enter on Mechanic Street).

Only in the event of an inside show, the management of Johnson Hall will require all audience members and staff to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative test from the past 48 hours, along with a matching photo ID, in order to enter the venue.

Proof of vaccination can be your physical vaccine card or a photo of your card, and children under 12 are exempt from the policy.

If you do not wish to enter the building your ticket will be refunded.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking is available on Water Street, Machanic Street and in the Arcade Parking Lot off Main Street.  Look for parking signs and follow walking signs to get to Johnson Hall.

Contact our box office at 207-582-7144 Monday through Wednesday noon to 3:00 pm, Friday noon to 3:00 pm and day of show from 5:00 pm on.
