CV Metal Services and Ganneston Construction installing structural steel at the third floor

It was discovered that the existing carrying beams, which are being used here to support the gantry hoist but will be removed once the new members are in, were highly compromised due to historical fire damage and their age (100 + years old), and replacement was required. This 600 lb beam was the first of three beams being installed to rebuild the front 3rd of the top story of the building. The two remaining beams will be 1700 lbs a piece and will span 28 feet and support a 1400 SF section of the theater floor.

This timelapse video, provided by Ganneston Construction, shows the process. Enjoy watching and being a part of this historic renovation!
