Jim Gallant August 4

Beautiful acoustic guitar, vocals. Folk, classical, traditional songs and some surprises.

Jim has never failed to capture the hearts and feet of his audience. His uptempo guitar style, mix of catchy originals and masterful interpretations of contemporary music leaves his audience feeling fully satisfied. Whether he's fingerpicking a Celtic jig, a Bach fugue or a New Age instrumental, his distinctive style has won him both applause and accolades. An accomplished songwriter, his original compositions have brought him awards and high honors throughout the country. A few years ago he was commissioned along with five other Maine artists to record a Christmas album for LL. Bean. His versatility and skill as a performer has made him a natural opening act for such nationally-recognized artists as Doc Watson, Taj Mahal, Livingston Taylor, Jessie Colin Young, Dave Von Ronk, Mark Collie, The New Grass Revival, The Shaw Brothers and Bill Staines. His down-to-earth sense of humor permeates his shows and along with his mastery of fingerstyle guitar and warm rich vocals, makes for a day you won't soon forget. Jim, who lives in Maine with his wife, Doreen, and their two children, has just recently finished recording "Riverwatch," his third CD. His second album, entitled "Point of My View," was released a few years ago. FACE magazine says of his first recording "Midnight Dance of the Morning Things" "....though mostly instrumental, Gallant handles himself with style and versatility to spare." All recordings can be found in the Outer Green Label catalogue.

"Jim is an incredible guitarist, playing from classical guitar to blues, jazz and country." -- Allyn Fenn, Alliance of Musicians

Lisa Redfern August 11

Singer/songwriter with extraordinarily pure voice and warm stage presence.

Lisa Redfern is a singer-songwriter who grew up in Maine, relocated to Northern California in 1996, and is now back in Maine. Lisa's father, Bob, was a folksinger, multi-instrumentalist, and builder of dulcimers and guitars who had his own beginnings at the hootenannies sponsored by the Seeger Family in the late 50's. Lisa's mother, Sandy, knew the lion's share of songs from musicals and all the children's songs you'd ever want to know. Bob taught Lisa a few chords when she was 16 and from there she was on her own to pick up what she could.

In November 2005, Lisa released her 7th recording titled "All is Bright" an acoustic Christmas CD with 14 sacred songs that reflect the humanity, joy, and hope of the first Christmas. Also highlights the talents of two Sonoma County musicians, Craig Anderson and Kevin Russell. In October 2002, Lisa released her 6th recording titled "Soundtracks" with 10 new originals and 2 covers. It also highlights the talents of several local musicians and is available for purchase.

"Lisa delivered in such mesmerizing fashion...honest, unadorned songwriting...the sweetest voice going." -The Capitol Sun Rays of 50 Oak Acoustic, SF
